This course focuses on the strategic and operational aspects of managing Cannabis sativa cultivation in various growing environments. Students will apply management of variables in different cultivation operations, including vertical farming, hydroponics, aeroponics, and aquaponics, and the importance of utilizing climate control systems, lighting technologies, and ventilation strategies to optimize plant growth. The curriculum covers some nutrient formulation, efficient irrigation practices, and soil health management, including soilless media and living soil. Additionally, students will learn the importance of harvesting, and post-harvest handling. Through evidence based research, students will learn how to manage cannabis cultivation operations for maximum efficiency, sustainability, and product quality.
