This course explores genetic analysis methods used in Cannabis research and breeding. Students learn PCR techniques, including conventional, real-time, digital, and reverse transcription PCR, as well as sequencing technologies such as Sanger sequencing, next-generation sequencing (NGS), whole genome sequencing (WGS), and RNA-Seq. The curriculum covers applications in genotype identification, marker-assisted selection, pathogen detection, and gene expression studies.
